Hidden Place...The Lounge...!!

Hidden Place ,Pune, Maharashtra

This is a lot like a lounge.One of my junior colleagues gave his birthday treat at this place.They serve all hard and soft drinks.They had lot of options of sea food and chicken.Also, had enough options for vegetarians too.

Some new things that I tasted were :
Humus With Pita Bread: Hummus is a very popular Middle East dip made of chickpeas or garbanzo beans,lemon juice (depending on taste),tahini,cloves garlic, crushed olive oil.
Pita Bread : is a staple diet of Middle East made up of wheat flour.

Malaka Spice.....Asian Food At Its Best..!!

Yesterday Night we had gone to this place called "Malaka Spice".This place has a complete Asian cuisine.My team lead, being a fan of Asian food, took us colleagues for a dinner here.According to him this is the Pune's best Asian food restaurant.I thought he was exaggerating until I ate the stuff he kept on ordering..:).It was delicious.
Starting with the Papaya Salad and the Top Hats.Papaya Salad was grated cucumber with some sweet papaya juice sprinkled on it while the Top Hats was a cripsy upside down hat shaped stuff filled with sprouts and fried grated chicken.
It was as good as it sounds and healthy too..:).

For the main course we ordered this
->>Singaporean Chilli Noodles with Chicken:This had the noodles and the rice mixed perfectly with the chicken and sauce.

->>Gado-Gado: This was salad of sprouts and veggies mixed with pea nut chutni.It tastes just awesome..!!(See Image Below)


->>Penang Curry: This was a brown curry made of the coconut and cream with flower and potatoes added to it.(See Image Below)

Cafe Madras....Authentic South Indian Food..!!

Today I went to Cafe Madras I was delighted to step into my own backyard after a long wait of two weeks.There is no change in the ambiance and there is no change in the service, but last but the best is there is no change in the food.There are so many dishes that I am still waiting to pounce on.We tried this idli sambhar which was selected after my sister ,who is one of the most critical human beings I have ever met,approved of the fact that the idli is just so soft that it melts in your mouth ,but , as I am I chose to be a little different and so I chose to have the Pepperette Dosa .I am sure it sounds like an Italian dish converted to suit the requirements of the South Indianians:)...which it is not.To tell you more about that exotic dish it is none other than our very own healthy sprout "moong" dosa.It was a little bitter though,which is how it is suppose to be and coupled with the sambhar and chutni....mmm.After a quick food we had the filter coffee.You can never have a filter coffee like that any where in Mumbai.The coffee is just perfect filter coffee made with proper sugar and love the way they serve in those tiny steel cups.It was an eve well spent because when your stomach is satisfied so is your mind...:).
